The Ohio Department of Transportation said it is using 124 snow plows to clear interstates and roads in central Ohio.

The crews will work throughout the day, as forecasts call for 1-3 inches of snow around the area.

Officials with ODOT remind drivers to reduce speeds and avoid distractions when behind the wheel, especially in severe weather situations.

The city of Columbus currently has 47 trucks on the road treating State Routes 33, 104, 315 and arterial streets, bridges and overpasses.
