The Ohio parents indicted in the death of their malnourished 18-month-old disabled son are asking a judge to reduce their bond.

An attorney for the Vermilion couple filed the motion in Erie County Common Pleas Court this week. Thirty-three-year-old James Brothers and 25-year-old Adrienne Bartholomew are each being held on $280,000 bond.

The Sandusky Register reports that their attorney will ask that they be released on house arrest with electronic monitoring.

The couple's youngest son, 18-month-old Isaac Brothers-Bartholomew, died Nov. 6 of malnutrition and dehydration.

They have also been charged with providing poor care to five other children, most of whom were malnourished and undersized when taken from their home last fall.

Their attorney says they plan to show they were following medical advice.
