Fire officials responded to a fire at a two story dwelling on the east side of Columbus Thursday morning.
The blaze was reported at 964 E. Long St. around 8:20 a.m.
Firefighters said the occupied three-story home suffered heavy fire and water damage. It's estimated at $35,000.
Investigators said the fire started in a ceiling fan in a second floor bedroom.
The Red Cross is helping five occupants who were displaced as a result of the fire.
No injuries were reported.
