The Hocking County Sheriff's Department arrested a man on child pornography charges on Monday.
Authorities said Martin E. Seelig, 55, was arrested at his residence on Bear Run Road in Logan.
Detectives served a warrant at the home after they received information that Seelig was engaged in a conversation online with a person that was offering their 12-year-old daughter for sex.
Investigators said they found images of children from ages 8 to 18 on Seelig's computer and cell phone.
Seelig admitted to having the images but said he was naive of the law, according to authorities.
Seelig faces one count of illegal use of a minor in a nudity oriented material or performance.
