Authorities Continue Search For Driver Who Hit, Killed Pickerington Man

UPDATED: Wednesday January 23, 2013 5:56 PM

Police are asking for the public's help to find a driver who hit and killed a Pickerington man.

Jacob Zang was killed early New Year's Day while walking home along North Cassady Avenue near Drake Road.

A passerby called police after spotting Zang's body lying near the intersection.

Zang was hit and killed by an unknown vehicle.

Central Ohio Crime Stoppers has posted a reward of up to $2,000 for any information leading to an arrest or an indictment for the person or persons responsible for the crime.

Jordan Zang, Jacob’s sister, said that she and her family are hoping for any leads. Investigators said that they believed someone knows something about Jacob’s death.

“Maybe that person that did hit him drives by and makes him feel badly about seeing that and might turn himself in or something,” Jordan Zang said.

Jerrod Zang, Jacob’s brother, said that he just wanted to know what happened the night his brother was killed.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 614-645-TIPS (8477). You can text a tip to "CRIMES" (274637), key word CMH.
