West Elementary School in Lancaster was locked down for about a half hour on Tuesday.
According to The Lancaster Eagle Gazette, the school, located at 625 Garfield Ave., was placed on lockdown when police said that a person fled in the direction of the school while a warrant was being served.
The paper reported that all of the doors to the building were locked as a precaution.
The lockdown was lifted shortly before noon.
