Genoa Township police said at least eight vehicles were targeted at the Oaks at Highland Lakes overnight Sunday.

The suspect or suspects used an unknown object to pry open the windows on the vehicles that were locked.

The thieves grabbed money and electronics, according to police.

In the past month, police said they have responded to at least 11 reports of similar crimes in the area.

They warn residents in the area to not leave valuables in their cars overnight.

If anyone has any information about these vehicle break-ins, please contact Detective Blevins at 614-568-2060.
