Special Information:

A strong cold front is working across the state, bringing gusty winds and ushering colder air into the region. We’ve likely already seen our official high temperatures for the day as temperatures are falling behind the cold front. Temperatures will top out in the low 30s this afternoon and fall into the teens and low 20s tonight. Scattered light snow showers and flurries will be possible tonight. Any accumulations should stay under an inch for most of central Ohio.

The cold air will continue to build into the region Monday with occasional flurries and snow showers. The most significant snowfall will be across northeast Ohio. Highs will only be in the lower 20s tomorrow. Those temperatures will come in the morning before an arctic front drops temperatures even further. Overnight lows will dip into the single digits Monday night/Tuesday morning. Wind chill readings will be well below zero. This will be dangerously cold weather and the coldest air for central Ohio since February 2011.

Highs Tuesday will be in the low teens with lows Tuesday night/Wednesday morning back in the single digits. Highs will climb back into the 20s for the remainder of the week. We’ll be tracking a storm system that could bring some snow Thursday into Friday.

Alerts: WIND ADVISORY remains in effect until 7:00 a.m. for Hancock, Wyandot, Crawford and Richland counties

Inconvenient Weather: Blustery with falling temperatures this morning and temperatures this afternoon around 30.

Planning Your Day:  We’ll see partly to mostly cloudy skies with breezy conditions and temperatures around 30 for the afternoon.
