A 19-year-old woman was shot Friday afternoon in a parking lot of a Marathon gas station at 3851 E. Livingston Avenue.
Police said the woman was wounded in the leg and taken to the hospital in stable condition just before 3 p.m.
The gunfire started after two unknown individuals were involved in a verbal altercation.
Police said they have identified a person of interest in the case, but did not release the name.
