There's a new, gigantic scoreboard hanging over center ice at Nationwide Arena.

The Columbus Blue Jackets, who play their games there, also have a new team president, a coach who is no longer just a temporary fill-in and five new players on the roster - and don't have Rick Nash.

All of those changes took place in an effort to lift the struggling franchise after an awful season.

The Blue Jackets open at Nashville on Saturday night with former St. Louis president John Davidson overseeing hockey operations and Todd Richards, the interim coach for the second half of last year, behind the bench.

On the ice, the new faces include Brandon Dubinsky, Artem Anisimov, Nick Foligno, Adrian Aucoin and Sergei Bobrovsky.

And for the first time in more than a decade, Nash, the face of the franchise, isn't in the mix.
