Law enforcement officials said that they took reports of eight vehicle break-ins in one day on Monday.
Eight reports were taken in southern Delaware County: Four in Liberty Township, two in Powell, one in Shawnee Hills and one in Genoa Township.
Law enforcement officials said that it was not immediately known if all the thefts were connected, but in nearly every case, vehicles that were targeted had been left unlocked.
Police said that the break-ins were a reminder for residents to secure and remove valuables from vehicles and to always leave vehicles locked.
