Evidence left at the scene of a break-in linked investigators to an alleged thief.

According to court documents, Joseph Brandon Henry broke into a home in the 400 block of Frankfort Street on Dec. 20 and stole items.

Evidence left at the scene led investigators to issue a warrant for Henry on Jan. 14. He was arrested the same day the warrant was issued on burglary charges.

Henry also was a confirmed match to evidence left at a second burglary on Dec. 21 on 5th Street, as well as a number of other burglaries in the neighborhood.

The alleged victim of the Dec. 21 burglary told 10TV News that whoever broke into her home stole her grandchildren’s Christmas presents.

She said that she was considering adding an alarm system to her home.

Henry was being held in jail on $600,000 bond.
