A former teacher was sentenced to four years in prison in connection with sexually assaulting a student.
According to Sonya Horn's attorney, the former intervention specialist at Johnstown High School will have to register as a sex offender after she is released from prison.
Horn pleaded guilty in November to tampering with evidence and entered an Alford Plea to four counts of sexual battery.
Horn, 32, was accused of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old with developmental disabilities while serving as an intervention specialist.
The abuse allegedly occurred between June and October of 2011.
Attorney Mark Collins said that he hoped to apply for judicial release and get Horn out of prison before those four years are up.
