Former Ohio State University football player Mike Adams recently returned home and found several items of value were stolen.

That included the 2010 Rose Bowl ring Adams received after the Buckeyes beat the University of Oregon.

"The Rose Bowl, it's one of the biggest games in all football. And to have that taken from me, it's something that definitely upsets me," Adams said.

It was valued at $3,000.

The 6-foot-7, 323-pound Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman was out of town when crooks burglarized the north side house. He discovered the break-in when he sat down to watch football.

"I came in here to turn the game on and the TV was gone. So that's when I was like, 'Oh, that's weird.'"

He said the burglars made their way in through a patio door.

Adams said someone had vandalized his truck a few days earlier.

Police were investigating a series of burglaries in the neighborhood.
