The U.S. Attorney General's Office says three people are in custody accused of holding a woman and her child captive for more than two years.
A man told police that he did not break into the business that he intended to because he was spooked by a dog.
According to Whitehall police, Patrick Hudson was arrested after police responded to a burglary alarm at Best Buy motors, located at 667 S. Hamilton Road, shortly after 10 p.m. on Thursday.
Police said that they found Hudson, 26, hiding between cars at the business wearing a ski mask and gloves and carrying a crow bar.
The south door of the business, as well as a window, was broken, police said.
Police said that Hudson told police that his wife was pregnant with twins and he was out of a job and that he planned to break into the business to get money.
Hudson told police that he never went inside of the business after he broke the windows because he saw a dog in the hallway.
Hudson is charged with breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools. He was being held in jail on $15,000 bond.
