The Bureau of Criminal Investigation dealt with an increase in meth labs in 2012.
The Attorney General's Office told 10TV News that there were at least 573 meth lab busts around Ohio during the past fiscal year.
That is from July 2011 to June 2012.
The incidents include meth labs that BCI investigates and ones handled by other agencies and then reported to BCI.
During fiscal year 2011 (July 2010 to June 2011) there were 375 meth labs reported.
The Attorney General's Office thinks the use of the so-called one-pot method to make methamphetamines is a big part of the increase.
