Organization Behind Meals-On-Wheels Hosting Walk-In Flu Clinics

LifeCare Alliance is offering season flu clinics.

According to the organization, the clinics will be held Friday, Jan. 11, 18, 25 and Feb. 8 at the organization’s L.A. Catering event Center, located at 670 Harmon Avenue, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Clinics also will be hosted at the Mt. Vernon Plaza, located at 1035 Atcheson Avenue, on Jan. 17 from 9-11 a.m.

No appointments are necessary.

The flu shots will be offered at no cost to those who do not have health insurance or have insurance that does not cover flu shots and makes less than $20,664 annually for an individual or $27,990 annually for a couple.

LifeCare Alliance officials said that they were offing the clinics because of the nationwide flu outbreak and associated pediatric deaths.
