The owner of Delaware Pet Stuff reported that two men walked out of the store with a lizard.

Sherri Mitchell said her shop is not typical, and she takes in surrendered animals and nurses them back to health. She then adopts them out to good homes.

That’s why she said the animals are like family.

The bearded dragon that was taken retails for $130 but Mitchell is offering a $200 reward.

“It is not about the money for us, we don't want this animal to die in the hands of somebody who callously took it to resell it, or because they thought it would be fun and aren't going to care for him properly,” said Mitchell.

Mitchell was not able to get a good look at the thieves.

Delaware Police continue to investigate a crime.
