AEP Ohio officials said that broken power lines were the cause of a power outage on the south west side Wednesday.

According to AEP Ohio, power was out to more than 3,200 people on Wednesday morning.

Power was restored to customers shortly after noon.

The power outage prompted the cancellation of afternoon preschool at the St. Agatha Head Start program through the Columbus City School District.
