Ohio's Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is suing to stop Hocking County's animal shelter from using the gas chamber for dog euthanizations.

The Ohio SPCA wants a state appeals court to block the county's dog warden and county commissioners from using taxpayer money for gas chamber euthanizations.

Instead, they think the county should use lethal injections.

The Ohio Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals already pressured Fairfield County to change their euthanizations to lethal injections.
