Three people were arrested during a raid in Lancaster Monday as a result of a six-month alleged heroin operation investigation, according to The Lancaster Eagle Gazette reported.

Commander Eric Brown of the Fairfield-Hocking Major Crimes Unit told the paper they had been gathering information on a suspected dealer and his operation since early 2011.

Members of the Fairfield-Hocking Major Crimes Unit, Lancaster police’s Special Response Team, and members of the Fairfield County’s Street Crime Reduction and Apprehension Program were briefed Monday on the situation and which homes they were planning to raid.
