Former Youth Pastor Sentenced To 6 Months For Having Relationship With 13-Year-Old

A former Hocking County minister who pleaded guilty to sex charges involving a 13-year-old girl will spend time behind bars.

According to Hocking County Clerk of Court’s Office, Travis Branstetter will spend six months in prison.

Branstetter, 31, was accused of having a sexual relationship with a young girl who was a member of his congregation at the Logan Church of the Nazarene.

Hocking County Sheriff Lanny North told 10TV News that authorities learned of the sexual relationship from gossip.

North said that the girl detailed approximately 10 sexual encounters with Branstetter over a four-month period. Investigators said that Branstetter took the girl into the woods to show her how to hunt and the two would have sex.
