Twelve Ohio Army National Guard members are being mobilized to help train police in Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.

The members of Military Advisor Team - 2 are part of the Ohio Army National Guard's 174th Air Defense Artillery Brigade.

Military officials said the joint Ohio National Guard/Hungarian Defense Forces Military Advisor Team is a key NATO contribution toward the development of the Afghan National Civil Order Police (ANCOP).

"It's really difficult being away from her and that's the hardest part for me, leaving friends and family and being away from our first born son," said Lt. Tim Dubeansky.

The mission is to provide continuing training and mentoring of ANCOP forces.
