Woman, 83, Who Wandered Away From Worthington Home Found Safe In Upper Sandusky

The woman who was the focus of an overnight Endangered Missing Adult Alert was found safe in Wyandot County early Thursday.

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office issued the alert early Thursday morning for 83-year-old Bessie Bowman.

According to the AG’s Office, Bowman spoke with her daughter on Wednesday afternoon and was last seen during a traffic stop in Marion Wednesday night.

She told police that she was on her way to South Carolina, according to the AG’s Office.

Bowman has been diagnosed with early stages of dementia and is known to have short-term memory problems.

Bowman was located in Upper Sandusky Thursday morning. According to Worthington police, she was safe.

A picture of Bowman was not immediately released.
