Police had to pull a suspect from the Olentangy River near the Ohio State University campus just before 5 p.m. on Thursday.
The man apparently ran following a traffic stop on Hudson Street and then jumped into the river.
Authorities said the man did have a misdemeanor warrant out for his arrest.
He was only in the river briefly before he was apprehended.
The suspect's name has not been released.
