Columbus Police said two men, one with his 13-year-old son, were caught inside the Cedarwood Elementary School on Bartfield Drive Saturday morning around 2:30 a.m.

Authorities said they responded to an alarm at the building and found Jesse S. Cervantez and Ronald D. Landis inside.

The men allegedly had forced their way through a door and had a shopping cart filled with tools and metal piping that appeared to be stripped from the building.

According to police, one suspect also had his 13-year-old son with him.

Cervantez and Landis have been charged with breaking and entering.

Their bond was set at $100,000 on Monday.
