Authorities have identified a bicyclist that was struck and killed early Sunday morning while riding on Obetz-Reese Road, north of Daugherty Road in south east Columbus.
Robert L. Grimm, 42, died from his injuries after being transported to the hospital.
Grimm was hit at approximately 2:40 a.m. while bicycling southbound on Obetz-Reese Road.
Police said the car that struck Grimm was operated by Matthew McQuirt, 37.
Authorities said alcohol may be a factor in the fatal crash. It remains under investigation.
