The U.S. Attorney General's Office says three people are in custody accused of holding a woman and her child captive for more than two years.
A man was arrested after authorities said that they found meth-making materials.
According to The Lancaster Eagle Gazette, a 30-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday after members of the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Street Crime Reduction and Apprehension Program responded to complaints about drug activity in the 900 block of Pierce Avenue.
Officials told the Eagle Gazette that the man tried to flee when investigators tried to gain entry to the home.
They also said that the man attempted to hide a garbage bag containing meth-making materials during a search of the home.
Investigators said that they also found two children, ages 2 and 4, inside of the home where the equipment was discovered.
The name of the man arrested was not immediately released because charges were pending.
