Special Information:
      A major winter storm is taking aim at the region and we go into the day after Christmas with Winter Storm and Blizzard Warnings in effect. Heavy snow and blowing snow will make travel extremely hazardous as the day goes along. These warnings last through early Thursday morning. Rain and sleet may mix with snow, especially early today. Strong gusty winds will be an issue through much of the day as well and may leading to blowing and drifting snow as well as poor visibility. Some areas to the south will see a mix of rain, sleet and snow. Snowfall totals will strongly depend on temperatures and may vary greatly from one area to another.
