Police said that they responded to a report of an alleged hatchet attack on Saturday.

According to Lancaster police, officers were called to a home along Pine Grove Place on Saturday after two boys said that another boy threw a hatchet and threated to kill them.

The boys said that the 14-year-old had just been in a snowball fight with them and got mad and threw a hatchet at them. They said that the boy threatened to go to their house and kill them, the police report stated.

Police said that when they found the boy with the hatchet, they also found a black pocketknife on him. He told police that it was for his own defense. He also admitted to throwing the hatchet and going to one of the boy’s homes.

Police arrested the boy and took him to the police station and then to a hospital for evaluation. He later was released to his parents.

10TV did not release the names of those involved because they are minors.
