Special Information:

Merry Christmas! Enjoy the quiet weather this evening because a strong storm system is headed our way tonight. Winter Storm Warnings and Blizzard Warnings go into effect for much of central Ohio late tonight/early Wednesday morning.

It looks like we’ll begin to see some snow and a wintry mix after 2:00 a.m. We could have 1 to 2 inches on the ground before sunrise. Heavy snow will stick around throughout the day with 6 to 12 inches possible across much of central Ohio. Windy conditions will lead to reduced visibilities along with blowing and drifting snow. Snow totals will be less across southern Ohio where warmer temperatures could keep precipitation in the form of rain, sleet and freezing rain for a good chunk of the day. Be prepared for major travel impacts across the state tomorrow.

Keep up to date with the forecast because any change in the storm’s track will lead to much different snowfall totals and precipitation types!

Alerts:  Blizzard Warnings, Winter Storm Watches and Warnings go into effect for much of central Ohio tonight/early tomorrow. Freezing Rain Advisories go into effect for southeast Ohio tonight.

Inconvenient Weather: Heavy snow and wind likely late tonight into tomorrow

Planning Your Day:  We’ll be cloudy this evening with snow showers developing late tonight. Heavy snow and gusty winds will lead to travel problems tomorrow.
