The State Fire Marshal's Office is warning people living in Chillicothe to watch out for a man who posed as a fire inspector in the area.
A homeowner said the man knocked on her door December 19th, claiming to be an inspector.
He reportedly instructed her on improvements and said he would be back to look at the apartment later.
Authorities say a real inspector always shows official identification, and typically does not go to private homes unless requested by the homeowner.
