Last-Minute Shoppers, Travelers Take Advantage Of Break In Weather

Retail industry analysts were predicting Saturday sales would surpass receipts registered on Black Friday.

Easton Town Center was bustling with activity three days before Christmas. Ronna Williams told 10TV News she just started her holiday shopping on Saturday had a list of nine people to buy for.

"I need the crunch. I need the crunch for me to go or I just don't feel motivated. I'm a procrastinator," Williams said.

The holiday routine appeared to be more relaxed at Port Columbus International Airport. Travelers including Debbie Ittikraichareon said she was check in and ready to board her flight with plenty of time to spare.

"I'm very surprised the airport is not busier today. I expected it to be a lot busier than what it is," Ittikraichareon said.

Arrival and departure boards in the main concourse indicated flights were taking off and landing as scheduled.
