A reward was offered for information about a man who attempted to break into an apartment.
According to authorities, a man gained partial entry to a Summit Street apartment when a resident confronted him.
The resident and man struggled for some time. The intruder fired one shot from a handgun before fleeing the scene.
The resident was not injured. Nothing was taken from the apartment.
The intruder was described as a white male standing approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall. He had a scruffy beard and wore a black "puffy jacket" with a fur-lined hood.
Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of this man.
