An investigation revealed that an alleged threat in the South-Western City School District was a hoax.
According to district officials, an automated call was sent out to parents on Wednesday afternoon as a precaution.
School officials said that a “hit list” was rumored to have been created by a student.
Another student reported the rumor to school staff who then reported it to police.
Interviews were conducted with the student who allegedly created the hit list, and nothing was found, school officials told 10TV News.
District officials said that they did not plan to heighten security on Thursday since the school already has a resource officer and police were aware of the situation.
