An owner said that her horse ran through a rail and escaped Beulah Park during a race on Tuesday.
According to the thoroughbred's owner, the animal escaped the Grove City raceway at about 1:30 p.m.
A female jockey was riding the horse at the time and was thrown from the animal.
The unidentified jockey was transported to a local hospital where she was expected to survive the minor injuries.
The horse wandered about two miles and was found shortly before 5 p.m., according to Grove City Police.
