Several parents showed up at a protest in Galion because they said a student was allowed to return to school after making a threat.
The parents said they fear for their children's safety, and they said they were not informed of the threat by the district.
"We weren't actually told anything by the school. This is all from other parents concerned that the student is now back at school as of yesterday," said parent Rachel Martin.
The superintendent stands by how the district handled the situation. She said they immediately contacted Galion police.
The police department and district said they both thoroughly investigated, and it was determined there was no legitimate threat.
District officials said a warning message was not sent out because they didn't want to incite unnecessary panic.
