An Ohio doctor has been indicted on more than 95 counts related to trafficking prescription drugs out of his Coshocton office.

Dr. David A. Velasquez, 46, is facing 95 felony trafficking charges as well as one count of permitting drug abuse and one count of engaging in corrupt activity.

Investigators said they started to look into Velasquez's practice at the New Century Physicians Intermedic, Inc. on Walnut Street in Coshocton after receiving complaints.

Authorities said Velasquez was illegally selling weight loss medication that is a controlled substance stimulant with effects similar to amphetamines.

Some patients paid more than $300 per visit to get the weight loss drug, according to officials.

The Ohio Attorney General's Special Prosecutions Unit is handling the case.
