The man accused of shaking a Pickaway County baby to death is back in Ohio this morning.
Wayne “Wolf” Walker was booked into the Pickaway County jail on Sunday, The Circleville Herald reported.
Walker was arrested by US Marshals after he stepped off a Greyhound bus in Sacramento, Calif., on Dec. 2.
The 44-year-old Walker was charged with causing the death of his girlfriend's infant son in November at her home in Laurelville, south of Columbus.
Walker had previously lived in California. The California Department of Corrections said Walker had been convicted of corporal injury of a spouse.
The Pickaway County sheriff brought Walker back to Ohio to face the murder charge.
Deputies say the child's 24-year-old mother called 911 to report that her infant son was unresponsive. The child suffered injuries consistent with shaken-baby syndrome and died later at a Columbus hospital.
