12 Families Displaced By Apartment Complex Fire

The American Red Cross was called to assist 12 families after a fire.

According to Columbus fire officials, the fire occurred in the 900 block of Dressage Trace, off Waggoner Road.

The fire started shortly after 6 p.m. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

Firefighters and residents went door to door making sure families escaped.

The cause of the fire was under investigation. Authorities said that the fire may have been started by a lightning strike.
