Suspect Shot By Police Pronounced Dead At Hospital

A man died after being shot by officers Monday evening in north Columbus.

According to police, the shooting occurred shortly before 7 p.m. in the 3500 block of Beulah Road.
 
Police said that they received two separate 911 calls about an incident inside of a home on the street. Officers said one of the calls was from the suspect and the other was from a person in the home who said that the suspect was pointing a gun at him. 
 
Officers said they were forced to shoot the unidentified suspect who police said was armed and was threatening another person with a gun inside of a home on the street. 
 
The man was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The conditions surrounding the shooting were unknown.
 
Police blocked off Beulah Road during the investigation.
