A pedestrian was hospitalized in critical condition Saturday night after being hit by a sport utility vehicle.
Police received reports of the crash on W. Henderson Road at Arlington Centre Blvd. around 7:30 p.m. The driver of the vehicle involved stopped at the scene.
Investigators said the person walked into the vehicle. Paramedics took the victim to Riverside Methodist Hospital with injuries including lacerations to the face.
Police shut down the intersection to investigate the incident. They reopened W. Henderson around 9:15 p.m.
