UPDATED: Saturday December 15, 2012 9:47 AM

Gunshots have been fired at a Cincinnati high school where people had gotten together for a basketball game, but no injuries have been reported.

Police say a large crowd had gathered for the game Friday evening at Western Hills High School and was broken up but then gathered again. They say after the game ended around 9:30 p.m. fights broke out. They say someone pulled out a gun and started shooting.

The gunman ran off. Police are looking for him. No arrests have been made.

The Cincinnati shooting happened several hours after a gunman went into a Connecticut elementary school and killed 26 people, including 20 children. That gunman killed his mother and committed suicide, leaving the death toll at 28. It's the nation's second-deadliest school shooting after the 2007 Virginia Tech massacre, which claimed 33 lives.
