The U.S. Attorney General's Office says three people are in custody accused of holding a woman and her child captive for more than two years.
Police charged a mother who they say left her child in a cold car, while she went shoplifting.
Employees at the Plato’s Closet store, located along Baltimore-Reynoldsburg Road, said that the woman took clothing from their store on Nov. 30.
Police said that she left a 7-year-old child in the car for nearly two hours. It was 45 degrees outside.
The woman’s identity was not immediately released. The condition of the child was not released.
