Police Cruiser Crashes Into Store After Nearly Striking Robbery Suspect

A near run in with a robbery suspect sent a police cruiser flying into a Richland County store.

The Mansfield News Journal reported that the officer claimed the suspected robber darted out in front of him, forcing him to swerve.

The officer struck a Family Dollar store, in Mansfield.

Authorities eventually caught up with the suspected robber, whose identity was not released. There were no reports of injuries.
