Sharon Valley Road, between Milner Road and Country Club Drive, was closed Wednesday afternoon because of a two-vehicle crash.
According to Newark police, two vehicles were involved in the crash at about 3:30 p.m.
Two people were transported via two separate medical helicopters to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
One person was transported to a local hospital on the ground, according to Newark fire officials.
The names and conditions of those involved were not immediately released.
The road reopened shortly after 5 p.m.
