Pedestrian Struck By Sheriff’s Deputy

A pedestrian was struck by a sheriff’s deputy on the city’s west side early Saturday morning.

The accident happened along the 3900 block of West Broad Street around 1:30 A.M.

The Franklin County Sheriff's office said the pedestrian was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk when he was hit.

The pedestrian was alert and talking at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the victim was taken to Mount Carmel West Hospital, complaining of a hip injury.
