The Delaware Police Department has three new rides.

The department has purchased two new Ford Utility Police Interceptors vehicles and one Ford Sedan Police Interceptor.

These new cruisers are getting rave reviews from the officers. They are all-wheel drive which they say provides more stability and better handling.

The additional ground clearance eliminates potential for damage caused from "bottoming out.”

Ford said the Police Interceptor is at least 20-percent more fuel efficient than the outgoing Crown Victoria.
