Suspected Drunken Driver Strikes Power Pole, Closing Cleveland Ave. For Hours

Cleveland Avenue is open between Hudson Street and Genesse Avenue after a suspected drunken driver crashed into a power pole in the area.

The crash occured near Arlington Avenue around 3:30 a.m.

The road was closed through morning rush hour. Both directions of the road were open before 10 a.m.

The crash brought down wires in the area, leaving around 100 people without power. The driver in the accident suffered minor injuries.

Police do suspect alcohol may have played a role in the class.
