Work to restore one central Ohio city’s 911 system is nearly complete.

The Worthington Police chief said that the 911 system stopped working correctly earlier this fall after the city upgraded its phone system. All landline calls were being routed to Westerville.

Worthington hopes to have the calls switched back to its dispatchers by the end of the week.

The city is considering joining with neighboring jurisdictions and forming a central dispatch center.
